Hello and a vibrant welcome to the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators “SFALA.”

For over three decades our multi-talented members, through their artistic collaboration, have been instrumental in the masterful design and development of a SFALA tapestry, steadily producing a colorful work of art beyond the imaginable yet highly tangible to legal administrators. The artistic tools of their handiwork consist of the canvas, representing our Chapter history, with each individual’s leadership role as symbols of the delicate stroke of a brush. The color palette, shades and hues is measured by the intensity of our commitment and involvement. The SFALA is an artwork in progress that continues to show the potential of becoming a bright masterpiece. More bright, vibrant and dynamic, as we pursue our common goal—become the number one chapter within the Association of Legal Administrator “ALA.”

Our Chapter prides itself on providing our 140 plus members with exceptional educational sessions and networking opportunities.  This year’s program includes nine (9) luncheons, free monthly webinars in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, a Business Partner Reception, a Charity Event as part of the Community Challenge Week, a holiday party and last but not least, we are the hosting Chapter for the ALA Region 2 Conference and Expo.  Please visit our Calendar  for details.  These events afford you with the opportunity to make new friends while gaining valuable information.

Hoffman for more information regarding the different levels of sponsorship.

While there are a good number of reasons for you to become a member of our chapter, peer support is paramount.  Through the member listserv and IMessaging available in our Members Only area, our members are able to poll other legal management professionals for an instantaneous exchange of ideas.  Be proactive, join the ALA now and take control of your future.

Additionally, our chapter is supported by a strong business partner program currently consisting of 43 vendors.  With their support, we are able to offer to members connections with vendors who are on the cutting edge of products and services specifically geared toward the law firm environment. I encourage you to refer to our Business Partner list whenever you are seeking outside assistance.  This list is a valuable resource for locating vendors that have unique experience in providing products and services to the South Florida legal community.

Want to feel the pulse of SFALA? Our quarterly chapter’s e-newsletter, The Network, will do just that by integrating knowledge and connections on the go.  The Network puts you in reach with members and vendors from the comfort of your office, home or Blackberry device.
