Community Service

The Association of Legal Administrators has a strong dedication to community service and the South Florida Chapter shares that commitment.  The South Florida Chapter’s Community Service Committee works year-round to raise funds for local and national organizations.  In the past, our Chapter through its members have coordinated book drives for local schools, participated in the Dress For Success Program, donated computers and other equipment, assisted other Florida Chapters during Hurricanes disasters, and provided monetary assistance.

Since 2005, the South Florida Chapter has held an annual event as part of the ALA's "Community Challenge" to benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure. Our Chapter is fortunate enough to have a number of long standing members who are also breast cancer survivors so this cause is near and dear to our hearts.   Four golf tournaments and two "Cocktails for the Cure" receptions later and our Chapter has donated in excess of $125,000.00 to benefit the Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
